MY STORY
I became interested in pottery when visiting my friend whose Mum owned a pottery studio and shop in Ireland back in the 80's. When I started university I enrolled in some pottery evening classes in Waterford Ireland where I learned the basics of throwing on the wheel, hand building and slab building. Later when I moved to London I enrolled in some classes in Bethnal Green where I further developed my love of pottery.
After a very long period I returned to pottery in June 2021 at Crown Works Pottery initially and later at Studio Pottery London and then at Surrey Adult Education pottery studio. I believed the time was right now to build a home studio that I could work from and create some more pots and designs of various shapes and colours.
I designed and built my studio in 2022 making all of the furniture including a marine pump sink and equipment such as a potters wheel, slab roller, extruder and kiln.

I am now studying an Master of Arts in Ceramics at UCA Farnham which I will complete in August 2024.
I have recently participated in the Surrey Hills Arts programme at Farnham Heathland (image below).
